A sense of satisfaction and gratitude resonates among the staff members of the CNRPH (Cardinal Paul Emile Léger National Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons), located in the Etoug-Ebe neighbourhood in Yaoundé. Following the instructions from Professor James MOUANGUE KOBILA, Chairperson of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CHRC), a delegation headed by the head of the Promotion Unit paid a visit to the educational community of this institution on 8 January 2024.
Upon the arrival of the CHRC delegation, Mrs Caroline FOMETEU, Director of Education, Learning, and Vocational Training, expressed her delight and lauded this initiative.

Witnessing the current practices at the inclusive school and Braille unit during the guided tour, members of the delegation were pleased to note that the CHRC’s standards for inclusive education were being upheld. The delegation took this opportunity to recall the missions of the Institution and underscore the importance of the toll-free number, 1523.

In addition, the CNRPH staff was presented with a Braille-transcribed version of the statement issued by the CHRC to mark World Braille Day. This Braille transcription was provided in both official languages. The work was highly commendable. « Please convey my thanks and warm greetings to the Chairperson of the Commission, » Mrs FOMETEU said joyfully.
This visit is part of the activities carried out in the framework of World Braille Day, celebrated on 4 January 2024.
